We read this amazing story about the artist James McNeill Whistler's famous Peacock Room designed for Frederick R. Leyland, a wealthy shipowner from Liverpool England. It was a comical story of an artist's antics to create something beautiful to accent his famous painting, La Princesse. I love doing peacock drawings with my students because they are such beautiful creatures and their colors are gorgeous.
