Lucky Shamrocks

We're taking down the hearts, and putting up the shamrocks here at school.  This was a fun, one-day activity that encouraged writing and using common shapes to create a new seasonal icon.  We also discussed contrast in color and size.  I went over some of the history of St. Patrick's Day, emphasizing St. Patrick's luck throughout his lifetime.  I encouraged the students to write a couple of sentences about their own luck.
