Has anyone else out there found themselves watering-down the tempera paint and Elmer's glue to stretch the 'Almighty Art Dollar'?
I am a little concerned about where my art supplies are going to come from in the next few years if school districts keep getting less and less money ~ sigh.
So, while we are watering-down our supplies and making the projects smaller, we must remember not to water-down our instruction.
I just found out that my budget next year will be cut in half! Anything money I have left in my account this year will not be carried over either. I'm going to go ahead and get anything I can for next year now with what I have left!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I have found your blog inspiration enough to award you with the "Versatile Bloggers Award". Check out my blog www.DreamDrawCreate.com to find out more information.

I have been stretching my budget like crazy this year. My problem with it is the inequity across our system. Some art teachers get money from their PTA, but this is more than that. It's all in the hands of your principal.
ReplyDeleteI think I need to really push my art fundraisers next year. I have done the Art 2 Remember fundraiser and raised a moderate amount...$100 or so. But we all know that doesn't even but enough white paper to last the year let alone any supplies to turn that white paper into actual art! I am going to have to really campaign next year for more $$$ and become even more frugal than I already am - which I didn't know was possible.
